Buffet de la Gare sur Brive-La-Gaillarde

Excellent value for money and within the station grounds. It couldn't be more practical. The choice may not be very original but they serve before midday, which can be crucial to catch the 12:55 p.m. train to Paris!

Meal this lunchtime starter main course dessert 17 euros 3 people. 1 bottle of san pellegrino 2 coffee and a tea 63 euros correct and a good meal served by a smiling and pleasant waitress. We had reservations. On the menu goose gizzard salad and walnuts flat piece of beef pepper sauce fries salad and grilled ham Madeira sauce fries apple flognarde dessert. What more.

We went there with my husband and my little dog. Very well received by a very kind young man. Without asking anything he brought a bowl of water for my dog. For €17 we ate the tender meat very well. We are from Limoges and we have just come from time in Brive to go shopping and we will come back to the restaurant.

Before I only gave 2 stars, go lower and you would understand my change. I stopped for 15 minutes, time to wait for my train....I bought a rather good sandwich (ham, cheese) and a bottle of water (small), all for €6.20, and therefore a cafe on site. 1st highlight: the small bottle of water and more expensive than the sandwich (price/proportion of the product) 2nd striking fact, the "bump" as friendly as a prison door, without the slightest respect for the clientele, cold and bad with children, this woman missed her vocation....prison guard, on the other hand the waitress was quite the opposite, I left a tip of 1 euro but I forgot to specify that it was for the waitress, I was arrested on August 14 around 3:45 p.m., I am bearded and I brought my coffee at the counter to pay for the coffee, and she reimbursed me with the same coldness and hatred of the customer. If I allow myself to give all these details, it is very possible that I will return to this buffet, so if this woman remembers me when reading this comment, we can have a "charming discussion".... ...can't wait to see Madame again 😁!!! Yesterday afternoon, 12/28/2023, I was waiting for my next train, so I went as planned to this brewery that I had logically criticized....AND THERE.....O BIG SURPRISE, because this which I had generously criticized had completely changed. I was very pleasantly surprised, she was welcoming, warm, friendly with even a little humorous complicity with certain customers.......she even stayed like that for the time I stayed (around 45 minutes) and alone even with a MASSIVE influx of customers......only 10 minutes before my departure the boss arrived to lend a hand. Personally, from what I saw, he seemed more overwhelmed and carried away than anything else......this is just my impression. In any case.....MADAME you have all my sympathy and hats off to your change of attitude!!

Bon accueil personnel souriant service rapide. En même temps il y avait que 6 clients plus moi.
