Superb private mansion on the Champs Elysées. Guided tour only on weekends.

We had often passed this hotel without noticing it because it is unfortunately hidden by a café terrace. It's really a shame. Our guide Isabelle gave an excellent visit, mixing humor and culture. We discovered the fascinating life of this great 19th century courtesan. A visit that I recommend.

The most ridiculously opulent and decadent private home, or Hotel Particulier as the French call it. It was so hard to get a slot to see it, one has to book well in advance, and with a guided tour, which was all in French! It didn’t matter, even if o understood what was being said my mind was too busy being blown to concentrate on words! The history is amazing and as delicious and salacious as one would expect!!!!! I saw things I’ve never seen anywhere else’s in terms of design and art!
