Excellent dinner… full of flavors. Relaxed atmosphere.

I find this restaurant to be slightly overrated. We came there at the end of February with my friend. I thought we were in for a treat after reading all these excellent reviews online. The decor as well as the cozy and subdued atmosphere are among the positive points. This is appreciable since most restaurant rooms are poorly soundproofed and sometimes too noisy. The waitress who took care of us was very nice even if she insisted a little too much that we have wine. The main negative point is that the chef has too heavy a hand with the salt. The dishes are well presented but they are much too salty. Because of that, I wasn't really able to appreciate the foie gras terrine and the confit beef cheek. My friend ordered ribs which arrived completely cold at the table (same for the table behind us). In the end, there was no problem bringing the dish back to the kitchen and reheating it. In summary, I was expecting an incredible dining experience (given the prices) but I was a little disappointed by this restaurant.

My friend and I had to resort to this restaurant due to lack of space in an establishment that we really liked. We based ourselves on Google reviews to choose the black hen. The decor is certainly original but the layout of the room does not offer the same comfort conditions depending on where you are placed. We were close to the entrance. So not necessarily the best place for a quiet dinner. Regarding the meal, I admit that I was disappointed. The foie gras was very salty. The main course, served under a cover with special effects (smoke with an odor not necessarily very identifiable) was cold. When in doubt, I asked the waitress if that was wanted. She took my plate to warm it up. So it was abnormal. Our table neighbors had the same mishap a little later. The room, although high in ceilings, was noisy. In short, an evening which should have been pleasant and which ultimately turned out to be rather frustrating, probably due to the fact that this restaurant does not bear comparison with the one we originally wanted to go to. Damage.

We had an excellent time, refined and tasty dishes served in a pleasant setting.

Great restaurant that I highly recommend. The cuisine is really quality. The desserts, all homemade, are excellent. I knew this restaurant before, but the new owners are just as good if not better! I therefore recommend with my eyes closed! You will not be disappointed

Very nice experience in this restaurant. Simple menu, with fresh and very well crafted products. The portions are generous and more than enough. I had the smoked pork ribs, it was delicious! Wine list also simple and well explained. Special mention for the chef who did not hesitate to speak with his customers at the end of service! I recommend 😁

Very good restaurant good service. On the other hand, it is mentioned on the website that you can pay in Holiday vouchers and this is not the case. While they are referenced on the ANCV site. Supposedly this has not been updated. This part was very disappointing.

First experience in this restaurant and we had a great time. The dishes are elaborate and very tasty. The wine list is well stocked. A faultless one for us.

Very nice discovery and even offers reduced menus for children.
