The restaurant is pleasant and the welcome is excellent. The dishes are excellent. Only (small) downside: the time between dishes is a little long when there are people. Mandatory reservation.

Very pleasant and caring welcome. Attentive service. The entrances are neat. Then we feasted on delicious soles straight from the Cayeux boat. Preparation as we like, with the flavors preserved! Original gourmet coffee and delicate little bites. A very good lunch. A must-visit in Saint-Valery!

Le Mathurin is a restaurant of a very good standard. We feel good there. The design is nice. The service is pleasant, professional and efficient. The cuisine is fine, neat and professional. The products are of quality and we appreciate the dishes. So why not five stars? The plates still lacked a little taste for me. I had to add a little salt to spice them up. It's missing something a little. It’s up to the chef to try a little harder. And then the accompaniment for the main dishes is super well done and tasty, but it's the same for all the fish, as well as the sauce. I have no problem with that, but suddenly, this simplicity in cooking should be accompanied by “simpler” prices also on the table, that is to say less expensive. That's my feeling. But don't get me wrong, it's still a very good restaurant.
