A wonderful moment. Everything is refined, delicious, the visuals are incredible, the flavors. It’s small so we take great care of you. A single service, real friendliness. Very friendly waiter but I waited exactly 2 hours to be served my dish. No excuses and no commercial gesture. Otherwise the presentation of the dishes is great, very appetizing plates...unfortunately, I took the dish of the day (38 euros for the tournedos with pan-fried foie gras) which was quite good but too salty and too fatty (oily vegetables). So for me, a quality/price ratio that is not justified. Positive point: kir and appetizer offered on arrival.

It's a restaurant where you can bring your sweetheart with your eyes closed for a cozy dinner for two. The chef deserves stars: she fills your taste buds with happiness (to the brim!)... The server is absolutely exceptional. A really adorable guy, very attentive, and very discreet: the rare bird (no point trying to poach him, he's been there since the creation of the restaurant, more than 20 years ago, and is one with it) . In my humble opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in the center!

Au Poêle de la Bête

05/04/2024: This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Saint-Aubin district. The menu changes often, which is always a nice surprise. The dishes are really tasty, presented with great attention, and the cuisine is always inventive and creative, offering an exceptional taste experience on each visit (like the thyme custard 😍) I am a regular and have never been disappointed.
26/02/2024: Good beer (8.5€ a pint, rowing 5.5€ during happy hours) and friendly bartender.
