28/03/2024: Our stay at this hotel was a complete disappointment. It started at check-in, where the staff couldn't muster a smile. And the prices in the bar were absolutely ridiculous - 18 euros for a gin and tonic and 6 euros for a small glass of beer, coke or water. Although the restaurant was okay, we were plagued by disturbing noise from the ceiling at night, which made it difficult to sleep. When we wanted to check our account in the meantime, the staff was never able to give us a clear overview and the stated amounts turned out to be incorrect. Upon checking out we discovered that they tried to overcharge us by €160 - for a 'better' room that we had not requested and for green fees that they had unreasonably inflated. When booking our stay, we also reserved two green fees for the adjacent golf course through the hotel. The price the hotel initially asked seemed fair enough, so we agreed. However, just before our departure we were told that the price of green fees had suddenly increased, allegedly due to a unilateral decision by the golf club. Despite our doubts and multiple inquiries, the hotel staff confirmed again and again that this price increase was an external decision over which they had no control. When we finally arrived at the golf course, we were surprised to find that the actual price of the green fees was much lower than what the hotel had told us. Moreover, the golf course was even willing to offer us an even lower price due to the less favorable conditions of the course at that time. So the hotel had tried to make us pay as much as €100 too much for something that was actually much cheaper. This felt like a complete scam. All in all, a negative experience. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. If you do decide to stay here, be very careful with your bill and book activities like golf directly from the source.
