28/03/2024: I stumbled across this restaurant online when trying to find a restaurant that’s open on a Monday and serves escargot - as my boyfriend has never tried it before and wanted some before we left. We are so happy we found this place! The interior of the restaurant felt like home. It was intimate, cozy and comfortable. The service was amazing. The menu was in French but the man (whom I assume is also the owner) who served us was able to translate and tell us all about the menu. The chef even came and checked on all the guests. They were so sweet to bring out the dessert and sang happy birthday to my boyfriend. It made the evening incredibly special for us. Thank you ♥️ For our starters, we ordered the mussels in butter and parsley on top of lettuce and the escargot. Both were phenomenal! For our main, we got the beef in black pepper sauce (it’s got a nice kick to it) and the stuffed rolled chicken. Again, delicious. For dessert was get the tarta tatin. A bit sweet for me but it was tasty. My boyfriend was singing praises for the food which is rare. If and when we come back to Marseille, this would be one of the first few places we will return to. Tip: Make a reservation. As we witnessed many walk-ins being turned away because they were full.

13/03/2024: The gourmand dog was excellent. This place really only does one thing, but does it really well. The housemade fries were also really good, but portion was a little small for 2 people. The host was very accommodating. The hours are very short, only open 3 hrs per day. Outdoor seating is very limited. No indoor seating

29/02/2024: To each their own, of course, but I think it's the best hot dog I've ever eaten. The caramelized onions smell good as soon as you approach them, the bread is soft, the cheddar is perfect, and the sausage is not plastic, no complaints... And the fries are homemade, really... It's run by two nice people, the terrace is very small, but it's worth it!

02/04/2024: We ordered granola and brioche. Everything is very good, small portions, but that's how they eat it in France. Nice service. Great atmosphere inside and excellent music complements everything.

26/03/2024: Beautiful bookstore which offers a wide variety of books in different languages. In particular, there are a lot of books for learning in different languages! The drinks are very good, for reasonable prices!

24/03/2024: Authentic place with a great choice. We really appreciated the calm and studious atmosphere of the upstairs, the more library and tea room side of the ground floor. The staff is responsive and gentle, perfect for this welcoming café bookstore. We will come back

15/03/2024: Simply culinary orgasm. We had the menu, just incredible. The taste, the alchemy of food, the visual appearance of your plate... Very cute and warm service. Little extra for the open well at the top of the stairs that lead to the toilets! It's a shame we're not from the area but it will be a pleasure to come back if we pass by!

04/04/2024: Le lieu niché dans la campagne aixoise est très agréable, les différents espaces sont joliment décorés. La cuisine est très aboutie : mention spéciale pour le poulpe en entrée et le dessert à la violette délicat et original. Nous reviendrons.

03/04/2024: Great welcome! Really I came with a friend who is a mother and we were received like bosses: kindness, helpfulness... it's rare these days :) Plus, animals are allowed so that’s great. The restaurant is of high quality and the service is top notch. I recommend and I will come back with my family in July 2024, it is planned. haste :)
