While we were thinking of booking elsewhere, we arrived at this address by chance
The welcome is great, the cuisine at Le Poil is fresh and of high quality.
The foie gras is a delight and the farandole around the chestnut
I particularly liked the combination of prawns and fennel.

Staff from the boss to the waiters are top notch, always smiling, attentive, reacts very quickly if there is a problem,
I highly recommend this place 👍
A small bottle of water awaits you in the room upon your arrival, it may not be much but the gesture is very nice,
Not to mention the delicious food and quite generous dish, well-deserved price
Hope to come back to Mur de Barrez one day 🤩

29/03/2024: Rare in this country, a restaurant more typical of Spain than France. A lot of. We had a menu... Soup, sausages, chicken with potatoes, cheese board, dessert and coffee. An atrocity. Very kind and pleasant treatment. I definitely recommend.

09/03/2024: I go regularly to make my coffee and tea purchases. Both are very good and at affordable prices. I'm a big tea consumer and theirs are as good as damman. I never regret my purchases and the salespeople always give very good advice and do not push consumption.
08/03/2024: Very good Coffee Shop, as much for the drinks as the pastries as the service.
It's nice to be able to drink a very good hot chocolate. Gourmet drinks are not left out. Too bad we are only passing through Rodez.

06/04/2024: Entering this La Gargouille restaurant at random, we were delighted with the welcome, the service and especially the offerings of the day.
We only ordered two starters and one dessert each:
Pea soup with croutons, ham and an old Aveyron cheese used like parmesan
Brioche sausage with a light Port sauce
For desserts, it was to each their own:
Semi-cooked chocolate and pear clafoutis
We drank a glass of red Marcillac, very tannic and full of aromas.
Excellent lunch in a family atmosphere.
The price? I don't know, it was the right price and well deserved anyway.
Don’t hesitate to come and discover this delicious place to delight your taste buds.
27/03/2024: Food is ok. The service is also very good. However, the main dishes are a bit pricey for being so basic and rustic, which affects the value for money.

14/03/2024: Warm welcome from the chef. The menu fits on a metro ticket. The cooking is simple and good and the ingredients are quality. Everything is homemade. A pleasant stopover.
07/02/2024: Passing through during a motorcycle trip with several people, I can only recommend this address. Very warm welcome, no fuss with commas on the plate to decorate, here it's straight forward, it's plentiful, not expensive, and it's good! Glad there are still great places like this.

04/04/2024: Short but very good stay in this establishment run by a family who takes great care of its customers.
Quiet, clean, well-appointed room, which overlooks the castle... Magnificent.
Quality breakfast with local products and quantity. Ideal before a big day of hiking.
Very pleasantly surprised, too, by the quality of the dinner with, again, regional products and a vegetarian menu (the plate around Roquefort is great).
In the end, very good value for money for a place open almost all year round.

03/04/2024: We spent one night in this magnificent village. The hotel with the room with a view of the castle at the top. Very quiet place. We dined at the hotel restaurant, the dishes were a real treat for the taste buds. The hearty breakfast with homemade jam was a delight. Very pleasant staff.
And the more, the more they accept animals thank you for that too 😃
We'll come back.

Very good and sought-after starter, simple but good and hearty main course and very good homemade dessert.
The food is generally very good but quite expensive. The desserts on the menu are notably priced at €12, which is quite expensive for what it is.
Very friendly service but long wait (2h30 in total).
It is a very good restaurant but a little expensive.
