03/04/2024: I rarely take the time to post a review, but we loved it so much that I have to! The kindness of the master crepe maker and the waitress, combined with these pancakes and crepes from another world (thin and crispy, like in southern Brittany apparently!), have already made us want to come back. Truly the best ever eaten, thank you!

03/11/2023: Bad news, very bad news. The Battela closes its doors in its current form at the end of November. I invite all Hendayais and beyond to come and enjoy one last time. The sweetbreads returned to the menu like a final fireworks display...I tenderly thank Sébastien and Elo for their always joyful and emphatic welcome. I also thank the previous generation who were also so attentive despite the terrible and unfair hazards of life. In any case, good luck and all the best for the future. That said, I'm going to use November to share moments that are both delicious and so friendly.

We have ordered a txistorra starter and a main chop with potatoes to share with a grill so we can cook the meat to the point you want, a happy ending with a delicious cheesecake. Everything delicious, a special atmosphere and a detail of putting complimentary water on the table as soon as you arrive.
I would return.

Incredible kebab, all homemade with the bread coming out of the oven, delicious fries, my mouth is still watering! and not to spoil anything, great welcome, the team is very nice, in short, looking forward to enjoying myself again at Refik!

08/03/2024: I haven't been there recently, but the owners were great. The meals were very good, humm the vine omelette and other dishes from the region.
I really want to go back and see this beautiful Basque country. The owners are still there and what we see on their site
and all the arrangements made make me want to stop there.
