02/04/2024: Magnificent discovery in this small village near La Rochelle. Very intimate restaurant, with a maximum of around fifteen guests. Reservations are strongly recommended. The service is very pleasant and very professional. This Easter Monday, there is a unique menu, but nothing to complain about. Balanced menu, very well presented plates and more than well stocked, the flavor combinations are successful, a great moment of pleasure. What can we say about homemade bread, more than a success and a great happiness with the local semi-salted butter. Nice wine list. At the end of the meal, the chef took the time to talk with us without limit, we were able to discuss his passion and many other subjects. An additional pleasure. To do absolutely.

18/02/2024: Perfect ! We were on a weekend in Jonzac for Valentine's Day, so we were able to taste the Valentine's Day menu on Friday evening (very good idea not to serve it only on D-Day), we enjoyed our meal so much (special mention for the foie gras with blackcurrant!) that we came back the next day to discover the usual menu and it was once again perfect and delicious. There is a real work of searching for ideas, execution, presentation of the plates and the service are worthy of the restaurants of great chefs... We will come back with great pleasure during our next stay :)

21/03/2024: Located on two floors of a former hardware store, the restaurant La Quincaillerie doesn't tinker with the food! Master Restaurateurs Guillaume WEIL and Jérôme DOUAY treat us with their expert hands. The dishes offered are limited in number, which for me is a guarantee of freshness and quality. A Weekly Menu faces the Seasonal Menu. Everything is highlighted by the wines selected from the Quincaillerie cellar, which welcomes you on the ground floor as soon as you arrive. The tables are located on the first floor, on a mezzanine offering conviviality as well as a view overlooking the kitchen. The service is excellent, with explanations in English as well as French. Our meal was excellent and we can't wait to return.
