It's worth it (I like veal!). Very good homemade burger made to order with fries or salad and homemade mayo with homemade sauce. Very very hearty burger! Visiting on a Wednesday lunchtime, no waiting.
Canned beers from a local brewery.
Clean toilets. Wheelchair access complicated with steps. Parking on the one-way street or nearby parking lots.

30/03/2024: A delight ! Very warm welcome in an estaminet setting. Divine Flemish stew and equally excellent American fillet. Served generously and quickly. Room a bit small and noisy when there are people, but it's difficult to push the walls :-) We've been here several times already and it's our favorite restaurant. You can go there with your eyes closed. Remember to book!
22/03/2024: La Vieille Assiette is exactly everything an estaminet should be. The dishes are really excellent (we tasted the welsh, the chti burger, the carbonnade, the Marengo veal, the pork cheek) and were unanimously appreciated by the table. The welcome and service are friendly and pleasant, and the decor is typical without being "too much". We feel really good: at home if we come from the region, and welcomed if we discover it.
We leave in a good mood and with a full stomach.
Thank you, we will come back, for sure!
Edit: We've come back plenty of times and we'll come back again.

First of all for its welcome, the team is smiling and listens to you. For its excellent cuisine, you can enjoy the specialties of the North, they make an extraordinary Potjevleesch and a Gratiné Mickey which is a little treat.
A good table to check off in your diary, to share with family and friends.
