17/03/2024: I brought my family for a dinner at La Rotonde restaurant and it became the worst experience we have ever had in a fine dining restaurant. And this is all because of the manager of the restaurant. First of all I would like to say other than him, all other staffs were excellent and provided mostly impeccable service. However the guy in the grey suit whom I presume is the manager, he forgot he is in the service line. The entire night he treated us like second class citizens who are undeserving of his attention. He would glare at us, roll eyes at us and treated us with contempt. When we called for him when he walked pass as we wanted to order drinks, he would blatantly ignore us. The only time he came to the table is to serve us bread and he THREW the bread basket on the table. When I called for the bill, he ignored me once again and just walked past infront of me even when I had my hand raised and said “sorry, excuse me”. After paying, when I went to collect my coat, he was the only one standing at the coat station. When he saw me coming, he pretended to look down and be busy. Pretended not to hear or notice me so I walked to the coat rack and got my own coat. He didn’t say a word or acknowledge me when I baded him goodbye when leaving with my family. This is the most horrendous experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I don’t think we deserve this kind of treatment just because we are Asians.

09/03/2024: Good food with a seasonal menu. I ordered a seabass filé (18.5€) and a scallop dish (24€). Both tasted good, but small in portion, so you got a good amount of mashed root veggies to fill up.

28/10/2023: Commande de 2 bavettes totalement cramé avec la trace de poêle, aucun geste commercial rien du tout.

29/10/2023: If you go through Villefranche, you have to make a little detour to the Grande Cave. This wine bar is warm and cozy. There you can enjoy good little platters of cheese, ham, camembert, etc. while sipping a small wine recommended by Leslie. Leslie takes great care of her customers. In addition to her good humor and her magnificent smile, she always has a little word for each customer. I'm not talking to you about his offbeat humor, go and discover it for yourself. In short, it’s my favorite place in Villefranche.

25/10/2023: The place is actually nice (setting, playlist) but it's very expensive for very small quantities & toast with industrial ham. The wine is good but there are only 3 choices (white, red, rosé) which is a shame for a wine bar! Finally, we found the reception simple & not particularly welcoming.
