Les meilleurs restaurants en Hourtin

25/10/2023: Lovers of good cuisine, regulars at restaurants and passing through during the holidays, my partner and I decided to eat at this one. This is the first time we have been so disappointed, and in every way. Let me explain : First of all, the setting is not pleasant. Indeed, there is very little privacy, the tables are pushed together, we see and hear everything that happens on the neighboring tables (so much so that even the waitresses have difficulty passing between the tables: to see the photo). Honestly, it is impossible for people with disabilities to get around (average). Lots of people so really very noisy and really not pleasant (permanent hubbub). Then, as for the service, it was very long, 50 minutes to get the STARTERS (fish and shrimp soup). We asked for water and bread which we never got. The waitresses are overwhelmed, don't know where to turn (not their fault). I would still like to congratulate them for their professionalism and the fact that, despite the really not easy working environment (crowded, limited space...), they remain very kind. Finally, as for the meal, nothing sensational, but I can't say it wasn't good. However, I ordered "grilled mussels", but was surprised to receive mussels with a lot of Curry. After asking the waitress, it was obviously normal since the grilled mussels were curry. However, this was not specified on the map. Curry having a fairly strong taste, I think it would be wise to advertise it on the menu for people (like me), who unfortunately don't like Curry. Despite this, I was able to order some Moules Marinière instead. The overall experience is rather bad, we had the impression that quantity is favored over quality (too many customers for not enough waitresses and not enough seats). We should return to the notions of “customer experience”. This is really a shame, we rather have the feeling that it is a “tourist trap” restaurant. We really couldn't wait to leave the restaurant (this never happened to us), because we weren't comfortable, and the food, service and atmosphere didn't make us want to have dessert. We therefore decided to leave the restaurant after the dishes and have desserts a little further away on the seafront.

24/10/2023: Always a bit of a wait but nothing too serious to have a good time at Hourtin beach. The menu is varied, the service is fast and the employees are very friendly. The products are fresh and at an affordable price, in short everything you need :)

05/09/2023: Very good experience during the holidays. Generous in quantity (finally cheddar in a cheeseburger), the quality is not to be outdone (homemade fries) and the staff is pleasant. A real good time.

12/02/2024: We like to form our own opinion and despite the last ones read here, we let ourselves be tempted. We did well! Pizzas of good quality, generous and affordable. The dough is not "rubbery" as I have read, on the contrary, it is perfectly successful. Calling at 7:50 p.m. on a Sunday, the pizza was ready in 15 minutes. The person at reception was smiling and friendly. It should still be noted that restaurants are rare in Hourtin, and what's more, they offer openings that evening. In my opinion, this is to be welcomed. It seems important to me to also know when it is “good”. First visit, the loyalty card will definitely come in handy!

07/09/2023: We arrived at 1:55 p.m. and they didn't want to serve us, even takeaway, when you don't want to work it's better to change jobs!!

28/08/2023: Mixed opinion. We were not convinced by our takeaway pizzas. It's in full swing in the summer and we see the team working behind the oven. But trying to do too much, the cooking was limited and we didn't enjoy it. If we go back that way I'll try my luck again but earlier in the evening to see if it's better.

17/02/2024: I've been eating tacos regularly for 4 years now, never disappointed, extremely well stocked and top notch hospitality and kindness! Starting out like her we'll be asking for more! Truly the best in the area.

15/09/2023: We ate in this so-called restaurant, so the service how to say: it's a sprint throughout the short meal, they jump on you every 30 seconds, go for a little aperitif, a sip and you have your meal straight away! what magic! So for me a pizza, and there, it's a joke a few things on the plate that look like everything except a pizza in a larger child size, I'll stop there it would be too long, with an explanation with the manager at the time of the bill, she doesn't care anyway what counts is the number of customers, do as you want you will be warned.
