27/08/2023: Nous avons pris le télécabine afin de visiter la grotte des glaces. Me tour de la grotte se fait rapidement, mais nous avons fait personnellement 2 tours. Parfois, étant trop près, nous avions dû mal à reconnaître les sculptures. Mais le travail est remarquable et avec du recul on visualise très bien les statues de glace.

19/08/2023: Magnifique glacier avec un très beau panorama depuis le plateau d'Emparis ! Attention pour les débutants ce plateau n'en est au final pas vraiment un, avec une alternative de montée/descentes. Merci à nos guides locaux Alexandre et Frederic pour la course à pied !

05/04/2024: Ate here in April ‘24 with some friends. Was my first time at an upscale restaurant in France. The atmosphere is incredible! Absolutely charming little place. Like something out of a movie. The food was reasonably priced and very well done. Reminds me of eating at a place with Michelin stars. I’ll be back next time I am in la grave, for certain. Highly recommend.

31/03/2024: This is an excellent spot to spend a few nights. La Grave is a very unique part of the Alps and well worth the visit. I have stayed here twice. Once on a motorcycle trip in September and once on a white water kayaking trip in June. On both occasions, it was a lovely stay. The hotel is easily accessible from the main road and a great location within the town. So getting out during the day is easy. Although when I stay in La Grave I like to utilise the local area as there is so much to see and do there. Its a good spot for access to the mountains via the cable car or trails. If you cycle then it's also a great location for some of the areas big climbs. The Romanche river is also a great place to explore. The hotel staff are very friendly. The owners allowed us to store our motorcycles on their driveway which is out of site of the main road. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent but my favourite part is the little hotel bar which has lots of character and serves excellent beer. I saw a negative review on this where there is someone moaning that they couldn't charge their electric car. They do have electric chargers here. Not that I would use such a thing. Simple solution is dont buy an electric car and if you have done then sell it and get a petrol. Or a powerful motorcycle.
