27/03/2024: Our group of friends did not hesitate to drive 1.5 hours back to come and taste the famous frogs from Franche Comté (Monnet-la-Ville) which this restaurant prides itself on and which some of us were delighted with. But what a disappointment. We believe that these frogs should never have been offered for consumption as they were so emaciated and tiny. 8 servings at €25 per dozen? But who were we kidding? Additionally, the micro frog legs were served without accompaniments. But what happened? Did the restaurant supplier make an April 1st joke? Was the cook on strike? We really regretted not having chosen one of the tempting dishes on the menu. Frankly, this restaurant needs to turn its back on its frog legs supplier. What joke.

13/03/2024: We came for lunch only. Excellent meal and very pleasant waitresses, unlike the person who took the order. When I asked what the fish on the children's menu was, he didn't seem to like my question. Only answer I don’t know but it’s not breaded fish… thank you Knowing that the alternative to the dish was beef tongue, I find it a bit special for a children's menu and would have liked to know in advance the fish served. My daughter doesn't necessarily like all fish. For the dish of the day we were not told “it’s meat” we know the animal and the piece we are going to eat it seems normal to me to do the same for fish Then when I wanted to explain to my daughter what could be in the mixed salad and not having any help from the order taker I had the misfortune of saying “raw vegetables, like tomatoes”. I thought about it because it's not in season (I agree but there are ways of saying it) When for my eldest daughter I asked for the children's version of the discovery menu, she told me that she was only going to take half of the menu (in which case why offer this option?) and finally a final answer unpleasant when I asked if there was wine included with the daily menu: "obviously I have already noted it" (for me it was noted wine or water so ordering was not obvious ) Really unfailing kindness... Fortunately the waitresses were other people and much nicer, the food was good, in reasonable quantity and the setting was really pretty.

31/03/2024: Dear, I would like to send you this letter to express my deep disappointment regarding an incident that occurred during our recent visit to your establishment on March 29, 2024. First of all, allow me to point out that we had a pleasant time at your establishment and that we greatly appreciated the quality of your service as well as the delicacy of your dishes. However, an event occurred at the end of the meal which considerably tainted our experience. In fact, knowing that friends were coming the next day to celebrate a birthday, I asked the sommelier to prepare a bottle of champagne for their aperitif. I was extremely upset to find that this request had been forgotten and that the bottle of champagne was only given to my friends at the end of the meal. This negligence on the part of your team is simply unacceptable, especially for an establishment of your reputation and standing. (1 Michelin guide star and Relais Château…) I am deeply disappointed, I expected impeccable service from your team. In the hope that you give due importance to this incident and that corrective measures are taken to prevent such a situation from happening again in the future.

31/03/2024: Frog session: excellent. It's really a place to recommend. In addition, the staff is pleasant, available and efficient, which made for a very successful evening.

27/03/2024: Passing through the region, discovered this restaurant on Sunday lunchtime. We ate very well, it's nice to meet such a welcoming couple of owners, it's becoming rare these days... looking forward to meeting again!

24/03/2024: Exceptional! Honestly, it’s all there! The setting is magnificent, the menu is tempting, the lunch menu attractive, the dishes are delicious, the presentation is fine and careful, the service is guaranteed, and... the price (of the lunch menu in any case, because that's what I took) is quite attractive. What a lunch! A pure moment of pleasure !

19/03/2024: No welcome when we arrived, we had to take the key to our room alone after instructions sent by text!!! Room OK but stained bedspread, which was changed after complaint. Noise pollution at the foot of the hotel caused by customers of the brasserie located opposite, many noisy young people on the terrace until midnight - one in the morning!!! Too bad for a three star. Decent restaurant although one member of staff is not very friendly. Good dishes overall except the totally tasteless Jura fondue.

11/03/2024: Restaurant reviews. Very warm welcome and quality service. We feel involved professionals, concerned about the well-being of customers. We tasted an excellent Jura fondue, and even got culinary advice from the owner!

03/04/2024: How to happily find yourself in a roadside restaurant like in the 70s at the time of Max Meynier. Menu for €15 with homemade aperitif, starter, main course, cheese, dessert, pitcher of wine and coffee. An original and welcoming owner who provides cooking and service. A good time spent by chance during a visit to the Billaude waterfall at lunchtime.
