Excellente adresse pour manger Thaï à Lyon dans le respect de la grande cuisine thaïlandaise. Tous les goûts sont là, d’une grande quantité. Service sympathique, vue sur les cuisines. À tester pour l’adopter. Le cadre et la décoration du restaurant mériterait un petit coup de jeune. Mais courez-y quand même, c’est un des meilleurs Thaï de Lyon.

Bonne ambiance, bons plats Thaï, certains servis avec chauffe plat ce qui donne un certain cachet, sauce relevée, portions servies moyennes. Serveur attentionné. Locaux propres.

"Le Bangkok" is for me one of the essential Thai addresses in Lyon, tested here after a lunch menu at €18.90. The service was a little long despite the waiters' pace. In terms of meals, I prefer the à la carte dishes of the evening service: the lunch formula seems less elaborate, but it is the compromise of a starter + main course + dessert formula at a reasonable price. In the formula, the vermicelli soup was delicious, the green curry less tasty than the green curry that my palate loves, and the dessert, the hot Thai flan, faithful to the desserts at the Bangkok Royal. The room is however noisy, you have to raise your voice and listen carefully to follow the conversation with your other guests.

I have been coming to this restaurant for ten years. It is family run, the quality is top, and above all constant, they are all very friendly and helpful, very discreet. Nothing to complain about, go ahead, with your eyes closed, it’s a safe bet.
