Brasserie de la Poste sur Pontarlier

I usually go there with friends. This afternoon I tasted a West Indian coffee "rum, coffee, whipped cream": great combination, very good. I went there with a friend who came from Belfort, I was so ashamed of the welcome that I wanted to leave before being served. The waitress in a green polo shirt came to clean our table, removing the crumbs from our laps. She “threw” the drinks and ice cream cards on the table and turned on our heels. She asked us for our orders while speaking with her head turned away from us. There was no more crepe, my friend asked her what there was instead. What a stupid question, Madame Polo Vert shows him the card with a wave of her hand and blurts out “well what’s there”. She came back to serve us with the cleaning bottle and the user wipe placed on the tray next to our drinks. A gentleman told her that he wanted to buy some paintings on display, barely a glance because Madame Smile was very focused on cleaning the tables. The gentleman went out to join his partners, rolling his eyes. I don't know if he was satisfied! Apart from a young, dynamic and pleasant waiter, the others seemed to regret working this Sunday and showed it clearly. My friend is a nurse, I am a caregiver, we know about working on Sundays, public holidays and nights, fortunately these unpleasant staff are not among our colleagues. Oh how it makes you not want to go back!

Typical brewery with a story to tell. Perhaps relying too much on its past: the restaurant was notably used for film shootings. Cuisine like at home without fuss, pleasant waitresses even if in a hurry. Bad luck, there was no soap in the toilets to wash your hands, it happens. Overall I recommend it for a French meal with friends, colleagues or family.
