Having tasted Marcolini chocolates in Brussels (best chocolatier in Europe and best pastry chef in the world) I can assure you that we can really be proud of our CARL chocolate factory/pastry shop in St Dié des Vosges! A quick thought to the salespeople who form a great team.

Purchasing a Valentine's Day box: what a disappointment! no packaging... we drop the box at the bottom of a simple oversized paper bag. No surprises for the recipient. Really not worthy of this house! we miss the time when the Thirion family made us “papier” packaging with their metallic pink paper! the pleasure of the eyes was assured before that of the palate.

Chocolates of incredible finesse! The pastry is also delicious, it's hard not to buy everything. There is a lot of choice, a beautiful window and very pretty ballotins/boxes. The team is professional, dynamic and friendly. Everything is there to come back with pleasure ;-)

Very good chocolate shop and up to date! Always in its theme, beautiful attractive window display so inviting every time we pass by Alas, quite rarely! The prices are more for the wealthy!! But sometimes we can't help but go in! (just a few little chocolates to enjoy right away. What a joy!!! thank you.

19/03/2024: I was very tired after going to the museum at night, but since it was dinner time, I heard that all the restaurants were booked, so I stopped by a pizza restaurant and a takeout restaurant on the way to the hotel. The price was very cheap and the pizza was very delicious!! I've tried Regina, Bolognese, Diavolo, and Margherita, but if you like pepperoni pizza, go for Regina. If you like hamburger patties, I definitely recommend Bolognese! The margherita is so light that you can't eat it because all you can see is cheese, so try the diavolo with vegetables and ham!! It's not in the picture, but Regina was the most delicious~
22/12/2023: As they say, it does the job, a little takeaway pizza, not very expensive despite the neighborhood, I really enjoyed it.

23/04/2024: Passing through Saint Dié that evening. Tested by chance. Great welcome. Really delicious pizza. I highly recommend.
07/04/2024: Good pizzas ready quickly. We go there and we go back. Friendly welcome. I add after 7 years that I have been to many other pizzerias in the city but I always come back to Feu de bois! 😋
