Hostellerie Clau del Loup sur Anglars-Juillac

Simply fantastic. Beautiful setting, delicious food, generous portions for modern cuisine, good value for money and served by a lovely waitress. We chose to have three courses for around 29€ and were pleasantly surprised to also receive amuse bouche before and petit fours with the coffee. We especially liked the triple chocolate mousse for dessert, which came with a veneer of crisp caramel. I wish we lived nearer as we would be regular customers.

The food, the ambience, the service, and the gardens are all perfect! My husband and I both had the pear/endive/roquefort entree. He had the lamb for his main and I had barr (fish) that was substituted for the sole on the menu. All was beautifully presented and delicious. For dessert, we shared the tiered chocolate mousse--scrumptious! In addition to this, two amuse bouches were presented to us after we received our cocktails, as well as two tiny sweets after our main dessert. Since several of our favorite restaurants recently closed in this area (Le Cale, Le Caillou, Le Medieval) we're thrilled to find a new favorite. We will be back soon! BTW--don't let the $$$$ rating scare you. Our bill was €95 which included two aperitifs, a bottle of wine, two entrees, two mains, and one dessert.

Pleasant place, good food with a search in the dishes offered. We had a blast. Good value for money. Very correct wine list. A good address.

We had dinner at the restaurant, it was perfect, we enjoyed ourselves, thank you. I found the service impeccable. The menu was worked throughout the meal, in addition to a very beautiful visual and textures in addition to the taste. I particularly appreciated the lamb, its taste and its cooking (among other things...). And the truffle ice cream yum! We are lucky to find tables like this in the Lot, good luck

A great discovery! The setting, the service, the presentation of the dishes and the taste... everything is there, not to mention the unexpected (appetizers and end-of-meal treats). In short, the prestige of a gastro with honorable modesty! More than recommended.

Very good food with a nice choice of fish and meat dishes (vegetarians can be catered for if you phone ahead and book). It is a in a lovely setting, especially eating outside in summer. The menu is excellent value: quality food at a very reasonable price.
