Visiting Maxime's in Paris is like stepping into a classic painting, though the prices might make you think you're funding a new wing of the Louvre. It's a place where one half expects Toulouse-Lautrec to critique the cost of dining with his characteristic wit. Yet, the wine list is a delightful journey through vineyards that almost justifies the bill.

Restaurant to recommend five stars, it deserves

Very beautiful, legendary place, for the second time this quarter we had a great time there, the dishes are very good and the service is pleasant.

My experience at Maxim’s was rather disappointing. It is important to emphasize that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and criteria and that my opinion may seem demanding in terms of expectations. The waiters were charming, and I really enjoyed my scallop starter. The retro atmosphere of the place was very pleasant. However, I noted some areas for improvement, such as the floor vibrations caused by the subway passing under the restaurant. Additionally, some dishes seemed a little expensive for their quality, notably the truffle tournedos which lacked tenderness and truffle flavor. Despite these points, I believe the restaurant has some potential and hope to return once these details have been ironed out. My opinion, although constructive in terms of improvement, is in no way intended to tarnish the reputation of the restaurant. Thank you for the warm welcome yesterday.

We had a magnificent time. Chic Decor. We were there on a weeknight, and it was packed! The crowd was very lively which made our evening. We enjoyed some magnificent wine and the food was solid. The female entertainer played elevator music - think Nora Jones - which really didn’t go with the upbeat vibe but that didn’t stop us. Go for the atmosphere! Talk to other tables and enjoy the moment.

Wonderful, this is the second time I've been there, more used to La Perouse I now go to Maxim's: I didn't necessarily have much dinner because I wasn't very hungry yesterday but the dishes were tasty, the champagne perfect. It's a perfect setting. A special mention to Clementine who took care of us and who is as kind as she is elegant, the waiters are all very professional and very well educated so it is a return to time in a majestic setting.

A legendary, quiet place for lunch. The cuisine is excellent, from VGE soup to Suzette pancakes and lamb hazelnuts (accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes), we will keep excellent memories of this place. The service is impeccable with Thomas, who takes great care of us, smiling, friendly and very professional, who transports us into the world of this emblematic restaurant. We can't wait to be able to return there, for dinner this time, and discover the more lively side of the evenings at this popular establishment.

Lovely decor and live music. The food was good, a bit lackluster. The service was okay, but I don’t feel like they went the extra step like I’m used to in these kind of restaurants. I guess I expected a lot? Not bad at all but not great either. It was also awfully hard to book and it wasn’t even full when we went! Nonetheless, it was BEAUTIFUL, that old style vibe is nice.

Absolutely magnificent historic place, perfect welcome, sumptuous decoration. On the plate, tasty cuisine, small portion for the main courses (this is less the case for starters and desserts). Crafted cocktails. Nice wine list. Service a bit rushed. Despite my precision during my reservation, then my reminder email, then the reminder to the waitress, my husband's birthday candle was forgotten (too bad). Musical entertainment with singer and musicians lasting approximately 20 minutes (around 8:30 p.m., only in the back room with stage). I would perhaps have preferred a pianist because even if the lady sang well, there was a lot of noise with the discussions of the restaurant's customers. First service from 7 p.m., table to be vacated around 9:45 p.m. for the second service. Chic outfit recommended and we played the game with my husband, the restaurant is really an opportunity to bring out your most beautiful dress! Don’t hesitate to play the ultra-glamorous card!
