Very good flavors on the plate. Nothing to say other than praise for the cuisine, more fusion oriented for this "annex" of the Vermilion Coast which is in fact called "the astrolabe".
The location is always top; the terrace is still there but now dedicated to this new name.
The service left me with a bitter taste. Out of decency, I am not going to describe the waiter (or the waitress for that matter) or any clues about his identity but...
4 interventions = 4 gross errors such as the glass of aperitif taken on board when it was not finished, the wrong dish in the advertisements and the forgetting of another, an error in the plate when there are only 2 of us and then one or two remarks to mask his apologies and the discomfort he felt.
It's a shame because the kitchen staff deserve better than this mediocre service...

We discovered the Astrolabe this afternoon. Despite a confusion regarding reservations (we had reserved for the Côte Vermeille but wanted to have lunch at the Astrolabe), the owner and the chef put us at ease and allowed us to eat wherever we wanted. Warm welcome, great service and kind and attentive staff. The dishes are extremely good, for 29 euros starter, main course, dessert, you get what you pay for (and your taste buds!). Everything was perfect from A to Z, the setting is wonderful. We will come back for sure!

A lack of seasoning. Bland asparagus cream starter and hard-as-concrete chorizo.
Expensive regional wine list.
No beer glasses for amateurs. Overall it's expensive for what it is.
For a bistro, nothing exceptional.

We were there for the opening of the terrace. It is an unmissable place in Port-Vendres, facing the commercial port, the mountains and the colorful facades of the city. In the sun or in the shade, depending on where you stand. The dishes served are very good, well balanced. Their specialty is fish of course! They had forgotten the appetizer but it was served to us at the end of the starter, phew 🤤

We went to dinner with a couple of friends and everything was delicious, the scallops starter, the white fish and the tuna. The raspberry dessert was also very fresh and smooth, there was no time to take photos 😊 they made a meat dish with carrot puree and risotto for my daughter, which was also delicious.

This restaurant offers an idyllic setting for dining facing the port and the mountains.
It offers dishes mixing many flavors!
