La Rapiere sur Bayeux

Voilà un restaurant recommandé par le guide Michelin qui mériterait largement sa 1ère étoile. Tout est parfait de l'accueil chaleureux dans un décor authentique de vieilles pierres au service très professionnel et sympathique. Un grand bravo au Chef pour sa cuisine créative, raffinée et élaborée avec des produits frais et de qualité qui mettent en avant les spécialités du terroir. Un incontournable où il faut impérativement réserver au moins 1 semaine (voire 2 semaines) à l'avance tant sa renommée est loin d'être usurpée. De plus pour un prix certes pas à la portée de toutes les bourses mais absolument pas exagéré.

This restaurant is wonderful.  The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.  It was one of our best meals during our three-week trip in France. Make sure you make a reservation. It was fully booked during the mid-week in April when we were there.

What a gem! The best meal to date on our trip to France. Food, wine, service, and decor are all exceptional. The memory of the food from La Rapiere will haunt my dreams.

It's probably one of the best French meals we had in our 8 days in France! The service was excellent! All of the dishes were homemade and done to perfection! I wish we had restaurants like this in Atlanta, Georgia, or someplace close🤩 I found this restaurant by looking through Michelin Guide. This was not rated with a star, but it was highly recommended. We have been to other michelin star restaurants that were not as cozy and unique as this. The homemade terrine of foie gras was exceptional. So good, I tried to buy some, but they only sell it at Christmas time. My next course was Scallops with an artichoke mouse... Oh, my stars! Lastly, I had this incredible dessert pictured below with chocolate ice cream and a puff that was light and so good I could have licked my plate! Hubby does not eat fish. So he went with the chicken entree and ate everything on the plate, even though he does not like all veggies! Our Calvados tasting had 6, 12, and 20-year Calvados from different regions in Normandy This was a beautiful way to end a fantastic dinner! My family’s first meal in France after a long drive from the airport. From starters to dessert, the entire journey was a gastronomical delight.

A timeless moment, extraordinary cuisine and impeccable and pleasant service, we will remember it for a long time! We recommend 1000% What a shame that we live far away, we would have come every month!
