L'Assiette sur Paris

This is one of the greatest food bargains in Paris. The quality of the cooking is amazing. They have arguably the best cassoulet in Paris. My last time there we had a vol au vent with ris de veau and chicken that was worthy of a three star. Two people can get out of there with an entree, two plats, desert and wine for 150 Euros. A price/performance winner!

L’Assiette lives up to the hype. Delicious cassoulet served steaming hot, too much for one person to finish. We had a delicious white asparagus soup as starter, too. Service was exemplary, explaining all options in English, if necessary.

The cassoulet is hands down the best I ever had. Definitely worth the trip.

L’Assiette has set the bar for restaurants for us in Paris. We came here by recommendation from Paris By Mouth, a food tour. L’Assiette’s staff is incredibly friendly and made great recommendations, specifically wine pairing. We dined outside and shared the cassoulet and the braised beef with mashed potatoes. Their menu also includes a thorough allergen list, which I greatly appreciated. The cassoulet came out bubbling hot in the pot and was so flavorful. Salty, meaty, and rich. It’s definitely a sharing dish as it’s huge. The braised beef was so tender you don’t need a knife, and the mashed potatoes were creamy but also light. We paired this with a red wine that was recommended, though I forget the name. It was very smooth and a great choice. We had to pass on dessert as we were too full, but we had a digestif of the pommeau de Normandie which was great. A future visit to Paris will likely include a repeat here.

Admit to dining at l’Assiette! As soon as you enter, you won't want to leave. The warm welcome, the warm atmosphere of the place and the attention we give you is absolutely delicious. You'll love what you find on your plate. It’s as good as it is beautiful! It is rare to find such consistency from starter to dessert. Well done!!!

A hidden gem of Paris! Everything was beyond perfection, the food was superior to anything I've ever had in France. You could tell this is a beloved and respected local restaurant. The maître d' went above and beyond with wine pairings and phenomenal food recommendations. The chef is a true artist and puts tremendous love into his craft, well done!
