L'Assiette Champenoise sur Tinqueux

Located on the outskirts of Reims, just a short convenient bus ride from the town center. This charismatic Relais & Chateau property nestles in the middle of an immaculately groomed piece of tranquil estate land. Exuding grace, style and class, the charming premise provides a perfect back-drop for a culinary adventure outing. With sparse TGV train service connecting Reims to Paris on a weekend. Our choice of tasting menu was highly dependent on the anticipated length and ‘duration‘ of the affair. Since only a narrow 3+ hours window was allowed for our meal and hopefully sufficient time for us to catch our return train back to Paris, we opted for the less elaborate option. From a total enjoyment perspective, we would rank this impressive and spectacular meal to be our second most pleasurable and memorable meal of the 3 weeks long European food crawl. ( our number one choice being the rustic Spanish steak dinner at Tolosa, Spain ). Every dish that came out from the talented kitchen was impeccably crafted and executed. Timing of the cooking process was spot-on, resulting in near perfection of all the major ingredients. That stunning Pigeon and Squab Pie, a prime example!....Wow!! A true specimen of masterful culinary art indeed! No wonder the chef decided to cut open the pie in order to show-off the perfect end-result! And those glorious sauces…..the heart and soul of true French Haute Cuisine, absolutely ‘magnifique’, in consistency, texture and taste! IMO, the exceptional cuisine and overall ‘total package‘ experience is definitely worth a special journey!

Quel bonheur et quelles émotions de savourer une cuisine exceptionnelle. Tout est parfait: La cadre avec son beau jardin, la terrasse pour prendre l'apéritif, la décoration des salles, l'attention chaleureuse du personnel, la qualité du service, la magie de chaque plat et la perfection des accords mets et vins. Ce fut une parenthèse de bonheur que l'on gardera en mémoire...

Superb hotel and, by far, best champagne table

This is one of the unique places ive ever visited, from the moment you arrive until the last minute, you’re provided with the best service and the team is always smiling, not even to mention the culinary experience, nothing to say!

Can we really give an opinion to this type of establishment? Judging excellence is always a complicated exercise. Spending an afternoon at the Champenoise plate is quite simply suspending time and passing into another dimension in which you want to stay, but with this little bitterness of knowing that all this is going to end. For lovers of the French art of living. Well done

Magnificent moment at this hotel, it's pure happiness and the three-star restaurant really deserves three stars. If I could have given six stars, I would have given them Congratulations to the whole team, you are professionals, keep it up

I had the chance to come for lunch yesterday at the Assiette Champenoise Absolutely flawless. A lovely chef who comes to see his customers. Impeccable service. And, of course, EXTRA cuisine PS, the +, In my opinion - smoked butter (killer! Super good and original) - the sauces available on the table (which are good) - the superb cheese platter - accessible wines & Champagne - An accessible lunch menu BRAVO, we will come back!
