LE BATEAU IVRE sur Yvoire

Today we went to this restaurant for the first time and it seems to me that it will be the first of many times. Excellent service, helpfulness and all with a little touch of humor. The dishes were plentiful and very good, as were the desserts. A thank you to the team of this place for their efficiency and sympathy. 😊

Filet de perche like in Switzerland

Thanks to Philippe from the Entre Cîmes et Lac kiosk in Evian who recommended this fabulous, very friendly restaurant to us. The perch fillets are succulent with its lemon sauce. 🤗

The perch is just delicious. Although the morel and foie gras sauce goes perfectly with this dish, the classic lemon butter is undoubtedly what enhances it best. The starters and desserts are certainly good but a little too basic; a lack of originality in flavors and presentation. Small downside: the potatoes arrived when our dishes were finished but the waiter kindly offered us the coffees, apologizing. When I pointed out at the cash desk that the espressos were on the bill, a lady seemed offended by the commercial gesture made by the waiter and told me that he was the one paying for the coffees... I hope I misunderstood and this gentleman was not obliged to pay for these drinks... that the house knows to be commercial. In conclusion, an address to remember with quality products and service, just lacking a little pep in the kitchen.

Une table qui fait honneur à la cuisine française et particulièrement pour le poisson. En famille, nous avons mangé les meilleurs filets de perche depuis bien longtemps ! Ambiance bistrot chic avec un service rapide et souriant. Je recommande mais il est prudent de réserver.
