Beautiful place which opens onto the Marseille history museum: you can see the remains of this ancient port from the Roman era then discover in the museum its reconstitution, its evolution, its disappearance and its archaeological invention... and observe the evolution of the city around (and on it!) over the ages.

In addition to a small but quite interesting archaeological exhibition, which is public and therefore accessible free of charge, there is also a modern toilet! 👍

A wonderful place to plunge into the ancient world of the presence of the Romans in Massalia. Nearby is a shopping center and cafes. There are many photographs of how the block was rebuilt.

A visit to this archaeological site is absolutely essential when you are in Marseille. This is one of the only places where you can observe the city's ancient past. The museum is also worth seeing.

A historical area that we visited out of the corner of our eye while walking from the St. Charles train station to our hotel in the old port. You can see stone ruins.
