A very nice address not to be missed on Pont du Ditch. Very warm, welcoming and the food is excellent. I tasted a veal chop with morel sauce which was absolutely divine. Thanks to the chef, perfect cooking and generous sauce. I will definitely come back on my next stay

De passage à La Rochelle pour une visite en famille, nous décidons de passer une soirée au restaurant. Cuisinier amateur et fin gastronome, nous avons fui restaurants étoilés de La Rochelle, qui pour nous ne méritent pas leur distinction ou les brasseries touristiques renommées de cette jolie ville. Faites comme nous: prenez votre voiture et allez à La Jarrie pour découvrir un merveilleux endroit: l'hysope. Endroit improbable et pittoresque pour découvrir une cuisine d exception. Nous avons opté pour un menu en 4 services. Menu surprise total car seule indication figure sur les différents plats servis: crustacés, poissons, viandes, gourmandises. Faites totalement confiance au chef Nicolas Durif et laisser vous guider par sa compagne ( également remarquable sommelière) pour toutes les explications sur ce menu remarquable d inventivité, d équilibre parfait dans les goûts plus que surprenant. Un rapport prix qualité d exception y compris au niveau des vins avec des crus de région moins connue mais surprenant en bouche. Le tout accompagné par un gentil service et d une grande amabilité sans aucune obséquiosité. Voilà une étoile bien méritée! Merci Mr Nicolas Durif.
