Café, restaurant and grocery store on the beautiful Place aux Herbes. A real institution in Uzès.
Very pleasant terrace in the morning to drink tea.
I go there to buy oil from Maison Soulas.

Subscribers to Terroirs for ages 1st disappointment. Chili con carné is served with 99% rice and around ten red beans for decoration. The remark was made to the waiter without any animosity, who returned with a rather angry young man who told us that HIS chef is Chilean and that if there is anyone who knows how to make chili it's him and that he doesn't don't understand our comment. On this the waiter returns with a ramekin of red beans, reproaching us for not having specified when ordering that we did not only want rice.
When Corinne and Tom are not there there are departures from the usual warm welcome.
PS: Several tables made the same remark regarding the “rice con carné”.

Superb experience during our visit to Uzés. Friendly and warm restaurant that gets to the point. No fuss on the plates, it's generous, from the region, tasty and well presented. Clearly, people from the South are very good-natured people.

Located on the Place aux Herbes in Uzès, in a pedestrian zone, this restaurant has an excellent location. The service is mainly done on a large terrace on the square. He must have few indoor tables. The place also sells regional products. The welcome and service are friendly. The food is of good quality with local, regional products. A good place to eat correctly, quickly and without hassle.

We had an amazing lunch here. Food was 10/10 and the waiter was a super nice person. Unfortunately, the kitchen is not ventilated at all and the entire restaurant was under cooking smoke. It was disgusting after sitting for five minutes. They really need to invest in a new and strong ventilation system.
