25/11/2023: We ended up at this lovely restaurant perfectly located in the village opposite the church. We were welcomed warmly and efficiently, and were able to discover the cooking of Julie who took over the business some time ago, and what joy!! Gourmet and generous plates, perfectly executed recipes and cooking, in a welcoming and very well-kept setting, with very pretty decoration and lots of good humor. Thank you to the whole team for this delicious moment!!

22/03/2024: A really amazing restaurant, everything was cooked well and the food well balanced. Desserts were delicate and amazing. The chef came out to meet with customers, and the waitron was incredibly kind and helpful. If I was a local I would be here every week.

04/04/2024: This is one of those little gems you come across while traveling. Chez Serge is already something of an institution, and you are almost obliged to visit when in Carpentras. Restaurant as such is located in a beautiful building and tastefully decorated (we didn't have the opportunity to visit next door Petit Serge). Food is good, even if servings are on the larger side, but hey, when is that a problem? Had a risotto for mains, very good, my wife had a stunning fish 🐟 and my son took the same lamb he had rhe day before (so good gradeschete!). I then had a lemon tart with merengue crumbles on top for dessert, but the lemon 🍋 taste was a little too explicit, even tart. My son had chocolate with cream that, according to him, was "too big and too chocolaty" ... again, not a huge problem eh.. Service is a bit slow in the beginning and it's quite hard to get the attention from waiters. Youbreally have to look out for them and catch them! As soon as you have been able to make your order, dishes arrive fast-food-place fast... A little too fast in our opinion actually! O dont know if its that the place is small, has few seats snd they want to keep a high customer turn-over, but I for one have. I trouble waiting ten minutes for the food after wine has arrived! All in all, a nice little place.

19/05/2024: Pure scam, how can I describe an exorbitant price for something that I didn't even order, "La Nutella" for a Nutella waffle without having the choice of not having whipped cream, well I thought otherwise when on the At the top of the card it was written “whipped cream supplement: €1.50”. So for the modest sum of 5.50, or 2€50 more than anywhere else, I had a Nutella waffle which I had the pleasure of eating on the heads of other customers, in fact it is worth better not to take up too much space to eat. Conclusion, a stupid trap that I will never set foot in again. Recommendation: don't go there and if you insist avoid anything that anyone would eat, only the cakes are "a priori" at the same price as you would expect.

11/05/2024: Very good ice cream, cookies, pastries. However, it is a shame to hear: "that we have to put away the cakes of an 11 year old child because they were not purchased on site..." Knowing that we ordered ice cream and drinks. In these conditions we may not come back... Disappointed...
