Refined cuisine and very friendly welcome. Short menu but fresh produce really well highlighted by the personal touch of the chef. Really great!

A last minute booking, we were initially surprised by the ambiance and decor, as well as the presence of only two people, including the chef looking after both the cooking and serving. The first minute astonishment gave way to a series of very good surprises! The menu is not large, but perfectly mastered and the pairings on the plate are bold without being sharp, a real treat! While passing through Avignon, it was truly a great experience that we highly recommend!

While passing through Avignon we trusted Google to choose a restaurant. What a lovely surprise and discovery! A super nice chef. Hearty, fresh and original dishes. Hats off to the chef because that evening he was alone to cook and serve and everything was perfect. Thank you for your sympathy and your talent

2nd time at the restaurant after 5 years and still a lot of taste pleasure, well done knowing that he manages the restaurant, dining room and kitchen, cool, simple and friendly atmosphere and always surprises in the dishes, a flower, an olive or something else which tickles the taste buds, thank you for this moment!

We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish, the dishes were delicious, plentiful and very nicely presented. The Chef is talented and the lady who served us was very gentle and pleasant. We obviously recommend 😁

What a beautiful address. Far from the crowds, a charming restaurant; a chef with talent: excellent cuisine, dishes as beautiful as they are good. Very good value for money. We will come back !

12/05/2024: Less than a month ago, and during our journey through Southern France, we had the opportunity to enjoy Le 26. In fact we ate dinner twice in the same week. What attracted us to this restaurant was the Lamb Shank in the menu. An added bonus was that they open at 6:30pm for dinner, a bit earlier than most places. Le 26 is located in a small square around some narrow streets behind the TI office in Avignon. It could be somewhat difficult to locate. It has a small outside seating area, but nobody sat there. On the week of our visit a strong wind seemed to be blowing at all times. The Lamb was delicious, but it was not just that, it was also the Watercress Cream, and the Avocado Toast and Samosa appetizers. The "Esprit" Cotes du Rhones red wine, and the "Pensee Sauvage" rose, were great. BTW, Le 26 was one of the few restaurants in which we ordered a 1/2 liter wine bottle without breaking the bank. Our experiences above were not what we call "cheap", the bills came to be around 45-50 euros/person, but we feel it was all worth it. We have nothing but good comments for the service and personal attention received.
