Fans from the start, we have seen the cuisine and the restaurant evolve over the years.
The new location on the swing bridge is just magical, an emblematic place in Cherbourg.
I almost forgot to talk about the plate, finally the round of dishes and flavors!
The trip is guaranteed, with creative, Japanese cuisine made with fresh, local products.
I cannot recommend the Janne food/wine pairing menu highly enough.
This place fully deserves a second star ⭐️⭐️

We had already been enchanted by the Pily in 2018, before the restaurant was set up on the floating bridge, with a lovely view of the port and the open sea. On this evening in March 2024, the charm still operates! The service is fluid and pleasant, ready to give us an exceptional moment. The dishes take you on a journey and happily surprise your taste buds. The chef has chosen to use local products and offer a completely marine menu (fish and seafood), and yet, none of the dishes are the same. A true ode to the sea.
An excellent address, with remarkable value for money. Moreover, the Michelin guide has just renewed its star.

2ème expérience au Pily. La nouvelle salle est remarquable (emplacement, vue directe sur le port, décoration moderne et de bon goût ..). Le menu à 98 euros (6 étapes) est la perfection en terme d'originalité, de goût et de raffinement. Totalement consacré à la mer. La formule "mets vins" (blancs) est excellente et très variée. Service par une équipe qui a l'oeil à tout , détendue et souriante. Aucun temps mort. Le prix est celui d'une expérience rare et d'un cuisinier maître de son art.

Restaurant sober and refined at the same time..
In terms of decor we had a warm and relaxed time for the evening.
Located in the middle of the port of Cherbourg, the restaurant has a menu based around fish and shellfish.
The dishes are sumptuous, served in several dishes, a discovery with each arrival.
The pairings with the wines are perfect.. the sommelier and the cellar respect the logical follow-up given to the establishment.
Congratulations to the chef, to the entire kitchen and the team who accompany them to discover our plates.

Restaurateur and his team are passionate and generous in helping you discover succulent creations based on seafood. The prices remain lower than many gourmet restaurants for such work and the quality-price ratio is excellent for experiencing a real taste journey! Our friends still remember it. Dans un cadre chaleureux et cosy, l'accueil est très agréable.
La cuisine est raffinée, mélangeant des saveurs que nous n'avons pas l'habitude de cuisiner tous les jours.
L'accord mets/vins parfait.
Le dîner fût très agréable.
Le rapport qualité /prix en adéquation avec la cuisine proposée.
