Too spicy for my taste but good,

I went to Le Coq d'Or again last night to pick up my couscous merguez to take away as usual. The chef always prepares me a special couscous with four merguez while I read in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant (which has retained all the charm of the Moroccan palate of my childhood). That evening, I didn't have the financial means for the usual meal but he still agreed to give me a discount. We had a bit of chat as usual, discussing world cuisine (particularly the Mediterranean culinary specialties of which he is a specialist). He also explains to me that a recent review came in denigrating the quality of the food. What was my surprise after checking! I am revolted by the bad habit that some people have adopted to defame honest traders who work hard to promote quality products. I see it as a duty to defend this restaurant against mediocre people and slanderers; me, who unlike the latter, am always so happy to taste this cuisine. Finally, for those who don't know this restaurant, my only advice: don't hesitate. It's a very good address in Palaiseau, as it always has been. Pay attention to the couscous sauce, its creaminess and taste. Enjoy your meal!

I am quite surprised by certain comments which, according to the responses with factual elements, there is indeed a strong exaggeration. Loyal customer since the change of ownership and sincerely no disappointment on all the dishes, always as good and plentiful with reasonable prices without forgetting the lovely omnipresent welcome.

It was my first time trying moroccan food but I liked it. Both dishes that I tried were with vegetables and meat, one with lamb and one with chicken. The lamb was more delicious in my opinion. Both dishes were served with bread and couscous and some spicy sauce.

Voilà une adresse incontournable pour les gros mangeurs fins gourmets. Plats copieux et savoureux à prix très raisonnables. J'ai pris le coucous au poulet braisé. Et tout était excellent, viande, sauce, légumes et coucous. Rien à redire ! Thé à la menthe offert en début et fin de repas. Un grand merci au patron pour son accueil amical et sa belle générosité. On est reparti avec des doggy bags tellement c'était copieux !
