21/04/2024: I went to Le Coq d'Or again last night to pick up my couscous merguez to take away as usual. The chef always prepares me a special couscous with four merguez while I read in the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant (which has retained all the charm of the Moroccan palate of my childhood). That evening, I didn't have the financial means for the usual meal but he still agreed to give me a discount. We had a bit of chat as usual, discussing world cuisine (particularly the Mediterranean culinary specialties of which he is a specialist). He also explains to me that a recent review came in denigrating the quality of the food. What was my surprise after checking! I am revolted by the bad habit that some people have adopted to defame honest traders who work hard to promote quality products. I see it as a duty to defend this restaurant against mediocre people and slanderers; me, who unlike the latter, am always so happy to taste this cuisine. Finally, for those who don't know this restaurant, my only advice: don't hesitate. It's a very good address in Palaiseau, as it always has been. Pay attention to the couscous sauce, its creaminess and taste. Enjoy your meal!

23/03/2024: A good restaurant in Palaiseau in a beautiful setting. An original menu in the interpretation of classic dishes. Very elaborate tastes in well-served and cooked plates. A human-sized room ideal for a meal with a few friends or family.

22/03/2024: Very good evening with a very pleasant welcome and very pleasant service. The pizzas are good and generous with a perfectly puffed dough which nevertheless deserves a little extra pinch of salt. They are served with great timing that respects the customer. The buffala and mozzarella are really delicious and the cold meats are neither too fatty nor too salty. As for desserts, I'm not too convinced. This is obviously not the specialty.

12/03/2024: Very nice restaurant. I went there with Italians, the waiter understood everything. Weird! Large room, it's not crowded. I don't think the food is homemade.

22/12/2023: Please note that the photos of the room posted on the restaurant's website are not at all current. We had reserved a table for 6 people and were placed next to a refrigerated display case with ham, cheese and canned drinks for company! The other tables are crowded, no privacy and no warmth. It's really not pleasant even though the old photos on the site show a cozy and welcoming room. The staff is cold...maybe this is due to the fact that we are distributed without eating, disappointed and not at all inclined to stay. So I can't judge the dishes.

21/03/2024: Restaurant which offers very good products, I have always taken delivery and it has always gone perfectly but for several months now the delivery times have been getting longer and longer and never respected! For an order at 6:40 p.m. delivery estimated 70 min, at 8:30 p.m. still nothing... Generally allow 1 hour for delivery (I live 15 minutes away) so very good but you have to anticipate and don't need to eat quickly.

28/03/2024: Really nice restaurant on the side of the highway. Nice decoration which provides a nice atmosphere. The person at the counter who greeted us was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The portions ordered are generous and tasty. Clean toilets. 10/10

19/03/2024: Uber Eats delivery, tasteless Bobun, wilted salad, chicken not good at all. Frozen dessert with bits of salad in it?! Do not go.

07/02/2024: I regularly have lunch at the Shepherd's Star. The dishes are very good. Being vegetarian, I always have the choice between several dishes; which remains rare. It is very pleasant. The bread is also excellent. I recommend.
