Au Bureau sur Rouen

Quick and friendly service despite the crowds. The main course (burger) and dessert (pistachio cheesecake) were good, ideal when staying at a hotel.

We went to Au Bureau and overall we had a good time. The food was good, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We really want to emphasize that the two other servers who took care of our table were very kind, smiling, and professional. However, one of the waitresses was very unpleasant throughout the meal. She was constantly haughty and sarcastic, with a really sharp tone, and we could see her sighing in annoyance in the middle of the restaurant at every table she served, which created a bad atmosphere. She also placed the dishes in the middle of the table without serving the people, leaving us to serve ourselves, which is not normal. It's a shame, because without this attitude, the experience would have been very good.

A great atmosphere, with friendly, courteous, and attentive service. My €50 menu: Starter: Charcuterie platter. Main course: Burger with spicy sauce and fries. Dessert: Crème brûlée with red berries. Drink: Guinness.

We came for dinner on a Friday evening around 7:30 pm; it was very busy by 8 pm. We were initially served by a waitress who took our order, then a waiter took over and served us until we paid. The food was very good but lukewarm, the presentation was decent, but the portions were smaller than when we came as a family for lunch. A major drawback was the toilet: the seat was on the floor, the toilet bowl was dirty, and there was no toilet paper in the women's restroom. A restaurant's priority should be the cleanliness of its restrooms and the dining area. Having worked in the restaurant industry for nine years, we knew we couldn't afford to make mistakes with the owner. So, I will return to see for myself.

The setting is pleasant, with a friendly atmosphere that works well, especially with friends or for a relaxing meal. At Au Bureau, the service is quick, which is appreciated when you don't want to wait too long. The quality is decent; the dishes do the job without being exceptional. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. A reliable choice for a simple meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

A waiter told us he would bring water but never did. We still managed to get water through one of his colleagues.

First visit to Rouen for a conference. We stayed at the Ibis hotel and they recommended this nice brasserie. The service was very professional.

A great place: excellent food, quality service and nice decor! Thanks to our GBB for his friendliness, who will probably recognize himself 😉 We had a very nice evening as a family.

A sunny terrace, still at 5:30 pm. It was crowded, but you could always find a spot. The iced coffee at the office is amazing.
