Auberge de la Forêt sur Auris

We had a good meal. But 2h15 on site for main course/dessert for 2 people... Too long. We had been waiting for dessert for over 30 minutes, but the cook and a waitress were having a glass of wine behind the bar... Slightly expensive price for the sophistication of certain dishes

For three years already, I have recharged my batteries, summer and winter, in Oisans, traveling its hiking trails, hitting its ski slopes, and frequenting its hotels and restaurants. As everywhere else in France, the offer in terms of hostels and restaurants is of uneven quality, often good, sometimes mediocre... But none, in my opinion, is up to the level of that offered by the Auberge de la Forêt, where I had the chance to stay for a few days this summer. It's quite simple: I simply can't find anything to criticize about this establishment! The cuisine is exquisite, the welcome charming and the service impeccable. As for the room I occupied, words fail me: clean as a penny, refined, comfortable, enchanting... It was all that, and much more: perfection itself! In short, I do not recommend; I prescribe!

We had an excellent stay at the Auberge de la Forêt! The owner and her second are wonderful! Pleasant, at our service, accommodating. The room was impeccable, tastefully decorated and filled with little touches 😊 We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, it was a delight, worthy of a gourmet! We left after breakfast and returned late in the afternoon. We were offered a picnic to take away! Tremendous ! And the icing on the cake is the breathtaking view of the mountains. I recommend 100% 👏👏👏

We really appreciated the welcome given by our host. Super comfortable bedding, you can smell the laundry in the room. Exceptional view, very quiet, no cars passing by. The food is very good! We went to congratulate the chef. What a welcome!!!❤️❤️❤️💪 We highly recommend!

Dieses Hotel ist eine echte Entdeckung! Das Haus ist von unten bis unters Dach gefüllt mit der liebevollen Gastfreundschaft der Besitzerin. Die Zimmer sind mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, das Restaurant sehr gemütlich im Kellergewölbe und was der Koch auf die Teller zaubert, ist einer Sterneküche würdig! Selbst unser Sonderwunsch für unser Kind - "einfach nur Kartoffeln" - wurde mit absolut hervorragend gewürzten Drillingen (und auf Bitten des Kindes auch Ketchup) gerne erfüllt. Ich würde dieses Hotel wirklich jedem guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Außerdem empfehle ich, die Google Bewertungen mit nur einem Stern zu lesen, da sich hier schnell herausstellt, dass der eine Stern in vielen Fällen wohl einfach falsch verstanden wurde. Tipp: Bitte nicht dem Navi folgen, sondern der D211 folgen, es sei denn man steht auf abenteuerliche schmale Straßen am Hang entlang.

Accueil chaleureux. Service soigneux. Très bonne cuisine. Seul petit bémol : les petites quantités mais la qualité et le goût récompensait.

Hostel located in the pretty village of Auris. We were very well received during our biker stopover by our warm, bubbly hostess (and a Behemian biker to boot!) who took great care to welcome us properly. Quality meals made with good products, cozy interior with all the comforts, large fireplace that makes you want to "chill". In short, we would stay at least a week in this little haven of peace. An obligatory stopover if you are in the surrounding area.

Le cadre est assez atypique, le service et la cuisine sont soignés. Ambiance calme et personnel très aimable :)
