First, there's the arrival at the site. This inn is perched on the cliff overlooking the Jobourg headland, and the view of Alderney is breathtaking. Then, you push open the door to a warm and welcoming reception; from the very first exchange, you can tell that they genuinely enjoy being guests. Once seated at your table, you can savor this stunning view—it's like dining in a signal station. The service is attentive, friendly, and even a little witty. And the food… refined and generous dishes, with something for everyone, including vegetarian options, all at a very reasonable price. In short, we spent a truly timeless moment in an inn that I highly recommend.

We didn't come for the stunning sunset view, because for us, a restaurant is more about its food. And after reading the previous reviews, we knew we had to come! What we experienced exceeded our expectations because both the service and the food were exceptional: the welcome, the smiles, the quantity and quality were perfect! I only take the time to leave reviews when I'm truly unhappy, so I vowed to do the same for the positive aspects, which are so rare these days, and you absolutely deserve my time. So please don't lower your standards, don't get a big head. We've since returned to our region in the Southeast and are thinking wistfully about our experience with you, seeing the prices and the poor quality/quantity of the food served here... We have only one desire: to return to your restaurant to try the next menu, which changes every three months. And our children and we ourselves appreciated that the children's menu was an excerpt from the adult menu and not the usual nuggets or hamburgers that we almost always find. Speaking of the menu, we enjoyed the best of the "astonishing" customer comments. It's good to laugh at others... and even at ourselves, because we hope you noticed my husband's experience. He ordered the daily special because he trusted the chef despite his doubts, and the waitress concluded with, "You're telling me you want the daily special, but you don't like this fish or its accompaniment... I'm not sure that's really what you want!"

In my opinion, the best restaurant, excellent value for money, very original desserts, a warm atmosphere...

Beautiful view, very pleasant service, excellent, even sublime dessert made with local goat cheese. The starters and main course weren't quite up to our expectations, but it was still a good meal (reasonably priced).

Everything was perfect! The staff, the food, the location. We had a wonderful meal of refined dishes, at an excellent price (set menu €25 for starter/main or main/dessert, €31 for three courses). I highly recommend it, but be sure to book in advance.

☕️ Afternoon tea with a breathtaking view! We stopped at the Auberge des Grottes for afternoon tea after exploring the Nez de Jobourg, and what a wonderful idea it was! The setting is simply magnificent: perched high on the edge of the cliffs, with a spectacular view of the sea and the landscapes of La Hague. It would be hard to find a better place to take a break and fully enjoy the moment. We took the time to settle down on the terrace for afternoon tea, and it was truly delightful. The setting adds a special dimension to this simple moment: a coffee, a sweet treat, and a breathtaking panorama. The place is warm and welcoming, the service friendly, and the atmosphere perfectly suited to this exceptional location. A truly wonderful discovery at the Nez de Jobourg. I highly recommend stopping there, even if just for afternoon tea and to enjoy the view. 🌊
