A visit not to be missed when exploring Perpignan, as the price is very affordable (€2) and allows you to discover a monument that has served various purposes, including as a prison. The spiral staircase leads to the top, offering a view of the city and Mount Canigou.

It's really interesting, and bigger than it looks from the outside. I especially enjoyed the exhibits that were on when I visited: the history of French sweets and chocolates, and the evolution of Catalan culture in Perpignan. Plus, the entrance fee is super cheap (€2) and there's a lovely viewpoint at the top! =)

20/01/2026: We received a truly warm welcome. The owners are fantastic, welcoming, and attentive. A special mention for the waitress, Tatiana, who was gracious, kind, and always went the extra mile. A real pleasure; I highly recommend it!
