A completely ordinary Chinese restaurant. Nothing extraordinary. Decent value for money on the lunch menu. The quality of the dishes is standard.

I'm a regular customer; it's a great, very clean restaurant. I often walk past it outside of opening hours. The cleaning is thorough. Rare for an Asian restaurant.

We've been going there for years and we're never disappointed. The owner is incredibly kind, always taking the time to chat and offering helpful advice. The food is delicious and high-quality, with a wide selection of Chinese specialties. Special mention goes to their spring rolls, Thai basil beef, beef stew, Cantonese rice, and soup. Highly recommended!

Chang, in La Varenne, is a Chinese restaurant I've been going to since it opened, and its quality has remained remarkably consistent over the years. Everything is fresh, the ingredients are high-quality, the cooking is expertly executed, and the flavors are always spot-on. The prices might be a bit high, whether for the food or the alcohol (by the pitcher or bottle), but the quality justifies it. The bill can add up quite quickly, even without going overboard, but a complimentary sake now and then helps soften the blow. The service is efficient, sometimes a little rough around the edges, but nothing unpleasant—it's not a fancy restaurant, and that's part of its charm. I go there regularly, about once a month, and it's always a pleasure. In the summer, the tastefully decorated terrace is a real bonus: pleasant, exotic, and perfect for enjoying a good meal. A good, reliable place where you know you'll always eat well.
