The food was exceptional. It tasted fantastic. The restaurant is lovely and was quiet when I went. Service was quick Exactly what was needed to finish a great day
Saturday at noon, June 20, 2026, it was still around 36 degrees Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit). And after a few thousand steps in this small town I didn't know, I was craving a refreshing and nourishing break.
Framed by noisy brasseries, I discovered this small, elegant, and understated Chinese restaurant. Red and white. Cloth tablecloths! And yet the prices were like paper tablecloths?!
Intrigued, I went in. I was dripping with sweat. My sun hat was also leaking. The sun is merciless with these fragile shields.
The owner looked at me with a rather perplexed expression. I thought he took me for a vagrant lost in Charenton.
But there were only 10 people at 3 tables: 1, 3, 6. I stared at him. He offered me a seat. Ah! How pleasant. Aaaah. Oh yes, nice cold water!
My simple meal is delicious. And generous. Hot Thai soup, cold Thai salad. Absolutely perfect. I'll be back if the shade ever returns.
Because even if the sun were to finish me off on my daily walks, despite my protective shield, I'd still come back as a hungry ghost.
