Everest sur Montreuil

The terrace is really lovely. However, the service isn't very friendly and, above all, most of the dishes are rather bland. The cheese naan and the Everest lamb stand out, but everything else we ate was unfortunately tasteless.

I expected better given the restaurant's excellent rating. The welcome was friendly, and they offered a delicious cardamom rice pudding for dessert. However, the food (we ordered Punjabi dishes) wasn't great; the sauces were too diluted, which didn't do justice to the intense flavors of the region's cuisine. This isn't surprising when you look at the menu, which offers Nepalese, North Indian, and Punjabi dishes. We're talking about an entire subcontinent, after all, and it's impossible to master all the specialties... I'll come back to try the Nepalese dishes, though, which are perhaps more reminiscent of Everest. 👌

Good "Indian" cuisine, generously served on Place Carnot in Montreuil. The decor is a bit... dated, the music is kitschy, but the service is helpful and impeccable.
