Galiléo sur Erdeven

Well-topped pizzas with a thin crust, warm welcome from a young and dynamic team.

A really great Italian restaurant in the lovely town of Erdevin. We had seen it driving by a few days earlier and were keen to try it out. We arrived just at the start of the 7pm service and were greeted on arrival , we knew service was going to be friendly and efficient….. as we were brought to our table on the terrace, every member of the waiting team looked up and greeted us with a smile and a hello. The menu is varied with some traditional French and Italian dishes. Despite our best efforts and previous ideas, none of us ordered a pizza , but our neighbouring tables seemed to get great and generously sized, thin and crispy pizzas. We skipped starters and went for veal with linguine, carbonara linguine , mussels and fries and grilled bream with rice. The service was really friendly and attentive with courses arriving in great time, looking great and tasting even better. We were seated on a terraced area which filled up within 20 mins and the rest of the restaurant was fairly full when we left. A number of families with younger kids were seated around us and they seemed to be really well looked after, in a cool and friendly atmosphere. We had ice cream, chocolate mousse and panna cotta for dessert, three nice coffees and settled the bill , which was a very reasonable 120 euro , for two courses each, some wine and beer and three coffees . We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

A chance discovery at a market, a place with a breezy pergola, no reservation required, honest and fresh cuisine, impeccable pizzas, and a special mention for the house-smoked salmon: simple and effective presentation, simply delicious cream cheese with chives and shallots, and above all (above all!) incredible quality fish and light smoking for the price! We also appreciate the thoughtful touch of serving the smoked salmon with toasted brioche bread, rather than a piece of baguette. Finally, the service from the two young ladies was impeccable and friendly. Thank you for this lovely experience! 💛

Today we had the pleasure of dining at Le Galileo (Erdeven), after first walking around the local night market. For me personally, it was a breath of fresh air and a wonderful experience to eat here. The atmosphere / good and fast service, along with the hospitality I experienced as a customer, was, in short, fantastic. Salade Océan, Pizza Marguerite, the Linguine with salmon. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the family. We would love to come back here again. This is yet another confirmation of why Brittany is "the" holiday destination for me, where I love to spend my time and enjoy French hospitality. Thank you for this!!!! Regards, Sigi Agostien

We had a wonderful time at the Galileo restaurant this lunchtime. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere, both inside and out, was very pleasant. The background music was very enjoyable and relaxing. The €29 set menu was more than generous and of excellent quality. Thank you to Alex for his warm welcome and friendliness, as well as to the owners. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, especially considering who was working in the kitchen in this heat. It's important to highlight all of this rather than offering criticism without discussion (if there was any criticism at all). Thank you again. First of all, congratulations! Failing to bake such a thin crust is quite an achievement in itself. The filling was decent and plentiful. The service was very average for a rather hefty bill. Fortunately, the wait was minimal.
