Hotel Restaurant la Poste sur Vitry-Le-Francois

The hotel is located directly opposite the cathedral and has a huge free parking lot. I had a quiet and very clean room. The heating is controlled by air conditioning, so I turned it off to sleep. The staff is very welcoming.

Bathroom in its original state, non-functional dryer with the pipe completely ripped off, everything yellow. The bathroom spotlights also non-functional, one glass for two to rinse their mouths after brushing their teeth. The noisy air conditioning (hot/cold), had to be turned off. Not to mention the reception hours: 1:30 p.m. Saturday appointment and no one at reception, door closed, had to call them on a 06 number, no one there. Finally, a hotel that doesn't deserve the 3 stars or the price.

I have mixed feelings... the hotel has been renovated, is clean, and the welcome is very welcoming. We were even upgraded from a classic room to a suite with a spa bath, and I thank you very much. The downside is the soundproofing... you can hear outside and inside noise, and it's annoying at night. It disrupts sleep and limits my sleep. During the second night, I felt uncomfortable. I felt like the noise was coming from my room, even though it was actually coming from outside. The room door seems to have not been renovated. Breakfast is expensive at €12. And as mentioned in other reviews, it's missing some finishing touches, but it's not a problem.

Despite a minor hot water issue (probably due to high consumption in other rooms, which temporarily depleted the water), the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are recently renovated, retaining a classic style punctuated by contemporary works inspired by pop art. They are functional... Very easy parking and a side view of the beautiful Collegiate Church of Notre Dame. To elected officials: This church is a beautiful building, just waiting to be better showcased, like a cathedral... (and don't people get confused in that sense?)

I had a great stay at this hotel. The lady was very welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with everything nearby. There were no restaurants, but plenty of shops within walking distance, as the hotel was in the center. A great experience, I highly recommend it!
