Hotel Restaurant la Poste sur Vitry-Le-Francois

The hotel is located directly opposite the cathedral and has a huge free parking lot. I had a quiet and very clean room. The heating is controlled by air conditioning, so I turned it off to sleep. The staff is very welcoming.

Bathroom in its original state, non-functional dryer with the pipe completely ripped off, everything yellow. The bathroom spotlights also non-functional, one glass for two to rinse their mouths after brushing their teeth. The noisy air conditioning (hot/cold), had to be turned off. Not to mention the reception hours: 1:30 p.m. Saturday appointment and no one at reception, door closed, had to call them on a 06 number, no one there. Finally, a hotel that doesn't deserve the 3 stars or the price.

I have mixed feelings... the hotel has been renovated, is clean, and the reception was very welcoming. We were even upgraded from a standard room to a suite with a spa bath, and I thank you very much. The negative point is the soundproofing... you can hear both outside and inside noise, and at night it's bothersome, it disturbs sleep, and on the second night, I didn't feel comfortable. I had the impression that the noise was coming from my room when it was actually coming from outside. The room door doesn't seem to have been renovated. Breakfast is expensive at €12. And as mentioned in other reviews, there are a few finishing touches missing, but it's not a major issue.

Despite a minor issue with the hot water (likely due to high consumption in other rooms, causing a temporary shortage), the recently renovated rooms offered very comfortable beds and a classic style punctuated with contemporary pop art-inspired pieces. They were also functional. Parking was very easy, and there was a partial view of the beautiful Collegiate Church of Notre Dame. Addressed to the elected officials: this church is a beautiful building just waiting to be showcased more fully, like a cathedral... (and don't people often mistake it for one?)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The lady was very welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with everything nearby. There's no restaurant, but plenty of shops within easy walking distance, as the hotel is in the city center. A superb experience, I highly recommend it!
