We wanted to return to the restaurant the next day, we had so much fun, and our 7 year old daughter was delighted. We couldn't end up being able to because it was too close to our train, but it's only been postponed, because the place serves REAL Vietnamese cuisine. There are of course Denim which are indeed delicious, but above all a true art of releasing and mixing flavors. Unfortunately today authentic Vietnamese cuisine has become very rare, reduced to the status of "specialties" in the middle of Thai or Chinese specialties, and produced by the Chinese almost systematically. Why not anyway? But often the precisely special character disappears behind a practice which, without being bad, does not always honor the original flavor of the dishes, and the dishes offered are often the same. At Halong Bay, beautiful and delightful, real Vietnamese cuisine is offered to you.

Very pleasant service, very clean tables, excellent cuisine (the spring rolls, jade pearls and coconut pearls are divine) all served in beautiful dishes, the price is a little higher than in a classic Asian restaurant (counted around 'around 20 euros for the dish) but it's worth the quality of the cuisine, however no air conditioning and it's very hot in the heart of Nîmes in the summer but once again it's worth it!

We went to the Halong Bay restaurant on a Thursday evening. The high prices suggested impeccable quality but what a surprise when we saw the price of the dishes and the decoration of the place (scary…) And yet, it was one of the only addresses that was still serving in the middle of Thursday’Nîmes unexpectedly after having tried our luck almost everywhere. But this will not make us forget that the portions were minimal compared to the price and the quality left something to be desired despite the number of mentions - on the menu, on the walls, on the posters - of positive opinions from the press. In addition to the pleasant welcome from the servers, the quality of the cuisine was absolutely not up to par. The strange behavior of the owner of the establishment should also be mentioned… to be avoided. It seems essential to me to mention the strange character who was the head of the establishment. Very excited, he was running everywhere so much so that he had to change his shirts twice. When we were getting ready to leave, he offered us some candy and presented his collection of works of art. In short, I advise against it.

This has changed a lot, prices are skyrocketing excessively, too bad, Gault et Millau has been there..

The restaurant is beautiful and the staff very kind and very helpful. The food is excellent. I recommend 100%.

Ideal malgré des personnes ne s'occupant pas de leurs enfants qui n'ont cessé de jetter des cailloux aux poissons. Gênant meme le service. Malgré cela nous avons passé une tres bonne soirée avec un service et une cuisine délicieuse. Le decor nous important peu.
