La Buche sur Les Adrets

A lovely resort for spending quality time with the family.

We went to use the bike trails in summer. The trails were good, but challenging. As someone who is not particularly experienced it was irritating that only one lift was open as they alternate it and this meant I had to ride over halfway down the mountain before the green runs started. The staff in the tourist office were helpful. The staff working the lift at the were not that helpful in terms of getting bikes on and off and slowing the lift down. There were lots of other activities and places to eat as well as ample parking.

Walk from Prapoutel, on a marked trail, of one and a half hours, in the shade and under the subtle scent of fir trees full of water and sun, to the chalet of Cortillets, with a view of the Chartreuse on arrival, followed by a refreshing break in the resort at the Kaktuss restaurant with a chill atmosphere.

A beautiful climb by bike from Allevard to the Sept Laux resort at 1450m altitude, 25km with gradients between 4.5% and 7%. The landscapes and villages along the way are magnificent. The resort opens onto the Belledonne mountain range at nearly 3000m altitude. The 25km descent is very scenic. A stop before Allevard at the small lake is recommended to admire the mid-mountain scenery. It's nice to have a drink at the refreshment stand before continuing the descent. Be careful, as the road is damaged in places and a fall could be serious given the speed of the bikes.

A lovely, human-scale resort... I hadn't skied for 25 years and it was a wonderful discovery. Ideal for a family day out

Ski resort less than 2 hours' drive from Lyon. Parking is free and fairly easy. The slopes are well-maintained and offer varying levels of difficulty. I recommend this resort for weekends or day trips, but I think the ski area is much too small for people staying for a week.

Great ski resort with beautiful slopes and several magnificent off-piste areas.

Good resort, larger than expected and lovely snow. Would like to visit again.
