We discovered this restaurant by chance. We started with two glasses of wine and a cheese board. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were of very high quality. We continued with the bruschetta with country ham, which was also very generous and delicious. I recommend it if you're ever in the area. The setting is lovely, and the servers are pleasant.

La Maison d'Avignon is in a unique and sumptuous setting in the historic heart of Sommières. The welcome is friendly and warm. The dishes are generous and excellent. Special congratulations to the Chef. The prices are reasonable, and we return every time we're in Sommières.

19/05/2026: A warm welcome, despite our late arrival without a reservation. We had a very enjoyable culinary experience. Thank you to the whole team.
24/04/2026: We came as a couple to eat at this place, having reserved a table. We weren't sure if the restaurant was open because there were no tables set outside and no sign inviting us in. As a result, no one greeted us, and we waited 15 minutes in front of the entrance without knowing we had to go in. Once inside, someone came to greet us and seat us, but I found the welcome rather lukewarm. We ordered, and the waitress seemed completely out of it, but the order went smoothly. The food was very good, but the prices were a bit too high for what was offered. The desserts were also a bit pricey. Overall, a good experience despite these minor issues. I recommend coming to discover original cuisine and a calm atmosphere, but be prepared to spend a fair amount of money considering the prices.
