A decent stay at the Campanile in Meaux. The hotel is clean, the rooms are well-maintained, and the TV on the arm is convenient without taking up too much space. The location is practical, close to shops, and the gate closing at night gives a real sense of security.
The only slightly less pleasant point is the noise from the cars passing on the road directly opposite, especially during rush hour. It's not unbearable, but it can be bothersome if you're really looking for peace and quiet.
Overall, it remains a simple and functional hotel that does the job for a night or two.
I stay at this hotel occasionally because it's close to my workplace. The rooms are clean and well soundproofed. I did have a minor issue with the Wi-Fi, but it wasn't a big deal. I find the breakfast service a bit pricey, but other than that, I have no complaints.
Positive points: The bedding is good quality - the room decor is pleasant - the breakfast is varied and of good quality - a large-screen TV - the reception staff are friendly and professional.
Negative points: The room floor was dirty when I arrived; it hadn't been vacuumed or washed. And there were two long, very dark hairs in the shower tray! The soundproofing in the rooms is poor: my neighbor in the room above fell asleep watching TV; until 2 a.m., I had to endure his snoring and his TV!
