Le Chantelouve sur Chantelouve

Very friendly mountain lodge in the heart of the Écrins, with friendly staff, and located at the start of many hikes including the superb ascent of Rochail via Lac du Vallon. The rooms/dormitories are comfortable, the shower and toilets are shared but everything is on the same floor. The lodge offers wood-fired pizzas in the evening, which are very good, and local beers. Ideal after a big outing. Very good address in a relatively unpopular area and therefore more authentic.

Had a delicious beer here along the way. It looked very cozy. There were many young people and a large tent. There was an event going on. Our knowledge of the French language is so poor that we did not know what kind of festival it was.

We stopped for lunch while passing through. We only had the main course which was very filling. All very good, the salads and trout are recommended. The coffee is also good. The guys are very kind and friendly. Recommended place!

Faithful to the Col d'Ornon for many years, we go to this restaurant, winter and summer, always with the same pleasure. Very warm team, regional products, cheap prices... The stop there is so pleasant after cross-country skiing or hiking. The vegetarian burger and ravioli are worth the detour!

While passing through the region, the meal was delicious, everything is homemade and you can feel it! The welcome was also great
