There is a significant bus network around Meaux train station, with perhaps 25 lines. However, the bus station is too small and lacks sufficient platforms, leading to congestion at arrival and departure points.

Ample parking, €2.55 for a train ticket plus the metro to anywhere in Paris.
Parking is literally €5-7 per day. Card payment upon exit; there's no separate ticket office.
No restrooms.

A city I once knew, but which had changed considerably when I returned after 15 years.
But this city will always be my home.

Well, it's a train station, what can you do? It does its job, and it does it rather well.

Meaux is a very beautiful, pretty neighborhood, and the surrounding villages are nice, but it's boring where we're going and the buses are a bit long. That's it...

We visited Plage de Meaux with our children during the holidays to enjoy some quality family time.
Please note that this is not a real sea beach, but rather a specially arranged leisure area next to the canal. Even though it is not like a seaside beach, it is a nice place for families with children. There are many activities, games, inflatable attractions, relaxing areas, a large water play area, and facilities designed especially for children.
The entrance fee is €8 for adults and €5 for children aged 5 to 11. Local residents seem to have free access with a bracelet system (different colors such as blue and pink) to identify free and paid entries.
We travelled from Paris (around 45 minutes) and paid €45 for 5 people. Personally, I found it a little expensive compared to the activities available. However, it is still a good option for a family day out without travelling far.
You can reach it by train from Paris and then take a bus. Inside, there are toilets and walking areas. If you want to enjoy the pool/water area, it is better to bring your own mat or swimming accessories.
The walk along the canal is pleasant, with greenery, flowers, and small fish that can be seen in the water. The surroundings of Meaux are also beautiful, with historic buildings, a lovely church, and well-maintained flower decorations along the streets.
Overall, it is a nice family-friendly place for a relaxing day with children, especially during the summer holidays.
