I thought I was supposed to arrive at 8:30 p.m., but it started at 7:00 p.m. Discovering my mistake on the way there, I decided to go anyway, hoping for a modicum of understanding. I explained the situation to the box office manager—a genuine mistake, no deliberate cancellation. His response was curt: "If you had let me know beforehand, I could have made an exception." But how can you let me know about something you only discover too late? Without any further consideration, he simply wished me a good evening. What irony in a place supposedly celebrating the depths of human experience through performance! The theater is a space where empathy and creativity should prevail over the cold calculations of commerce. A simple gesture would have sufficed: offering another date, providing a discounted ticket, or at least a partial refund. Nothing. Fifty euros gone, and the feeling that culture there has lost a bit of its soul.
